(Just a few of the) Thoughts/Questions I am left with: 5. I knew John Locke and Ben would turn out good at the very, very, very end! Told ya so!!! ;D I don't see that theory anywhere in your posts, Margot. However, I do see evidence where I posted that. Trying to take credit for my ideas, I see. ;D I'd like to point out my rightness about Richard not being dead, Juliette was Jack's son's mom, that Ben would turn out good and I should get a 1/2 point that he got to take care of the island since he was the #2. I thought the finale was totally lame and it was far too mushy for me.

I liked the finale- even most of the mushy parts- but I'm totally confused.
Seems like some of the loose threads wouldn't have been that hard to tie up and yet they just weren't.
So, was the island-storyline after the bomb explosion real or a kind of purgatory as well?
If not, why would Jack have needed to "work things out" in his purgatory when he obviously worked things out quite nicely in his real island life?

Did anyone catch the Hurley Star Wars quote? (not the yoda reference)

Also... ...no Faraday in the church, something about not bringing him with me -- said Desmond. ...what about the numbers?! ...and what about the island itself? What the heck was it anyway? Agreed with all but the Faraday comment....can you clarify?

1. Why did Ben say he wouldn't come in the church because he still had a few things left to take care of ?(or something to that effect.) If the implication was that he wasn't "good enough" to go with the rest of them, what kind of "penance" did he plan to do if all the primaries were in the church?? 5. I knew John Locke and Ben would turn out good at the very, very, very end! Told ya so!!! ;D I think that Ben felt he needed to stay behind with Ruso and her(his) daughter as they had not yet had their "awakening". Perhaps he plans on catching a later flight.... I did find his conversation with Hurley interesting as it refrenced a life and experience well beyond the point that the island story ended at. The orriginal Lock yes, but the smokie impresonating Lock, not so much!

And I told him about Juliet being Jack's ex-wife, too---can't I get 1/2 credit ?? (Maybe I could have him fill out some kind of affadavit...)

Josh: "I've Got a bad feeling about this." is the quote you are looking for.
I'm not sure why anyone had to "work things out". It seems as though most of them had a chance to do things "right", but in some of their cases: Charlie and Sawyer it seems as though they were still making a lot of poor decisions.
Anna Lucia is obviously stuck in Flash Sideways world still besides Faraday, Charlotte Lewis, Ben and Rousseau. The Chemistry teacher from Ben's school is also stuck.

Where are Michael, Walt and Mr. Eko? That's what I want to know.

Mr. Eko demanded five times the amount of money they were willing to pay for him to be in the finale. So that's where he was.

As my last word on the subject, I found a website that I liked about the finale. Of course we are not going to agree on it (!) But check it out and see if it answers some of your burning questions: screenrant.com/lost-finale-explanation-kofi-61464/ What I liked was that it both answered questions and acknowledged that many things were un-answered or just plain ignored!

Well, since the whole series itself was one cliff hanger after another, it's only fitting it had to be so with the last episode didn't it?
Besides, in classic Hollywood style...leave room for a spin-off to fill in the gaps ;D
I'd like to know how many people turned off their sets at 11pm when Jack was down in the hole with the light reaching peak intensity and then it went to commercial. We almost did, thinking that was it.
