So, I thought I'd start a thread to for all of us parents, uncles, and aunts (of all stripes), and grandparents to record those hilarious one liners the little tykes in our lives deliver from time to time that ought not be forgotten.
Here's the "quote of the week" from Riley Arwen Coles, said with much exasperation after I wiped her face with a washcloth:
"HOW MANY FIVE TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU I DON'T LIKE THAT!"

ROSEMARY: "You have a really nice daddy, huh, Riley?"
RILEY: "Yeah......
but he foits*"
*that's farts in Riley-speak. Yep, the truth is out.

Oh man, that hits too close to home. We've conversations just like that at our house. We even have a family song called "Stinky Daddy" (sung to the tune of "She's a lady" by Tom Jones....linked below for those of you too young to know that song. ) I'll spare you the lyrics. ;D

I mentioned this to Josh and Chris a while back, but I think it is worth repeating.
Someone at School (a teacher) asked Cory where he goes to church. He told her, "Atheist Christian Fellowship". ;D

LOL! I forgot about that. That's hilarious. We've got a good thread here. Keep 'em coming. We dads need to chronicle stuff like this anyway. And I'm sure the moms have plenty to add. Denice???

Elizabeth was four and Daniel was two and the four of us were all sitting at the dining room table. Suddenly, Paul lets out the world's loudest, longest, most horrific burp ----and laughs. I rolled my eyes and gave Paul a frown. Elizabeth sat straight up and (angrily) says: "Daddy! That's not polite!" But, Daniel......yes, you guessed it....Daniel starts laughing, and laughing and LAUGHING. Which of course, only made Paul start laughing even harder!!! Pretty soon, , my two year old son started laughing so hard he couldn't breathe and actually started ROLLING OUT OF HIS CHAIR!!!!!
---Oh yeah, kids are wired exactly the same, and there's no difference at all between boys and girls...

I'm with Michelle on that one Robin, that was totally hilarious...wow! Well, the other day Justus was talking to Riley about something (I didn't really catch it) and all of a sudden I heard her say, "so...what's your point?". Where does a 2 year old get something like that? Then there was the bribery that took place two days ago. Justus was trying to get Riley to do things for him, like take his garbage to the trash can, etc., and he was giving her points...once she rec'd 5 points he would allow her in to his room to play with him. She was up to about 3 points when she didn't feel like serving him any longer. He started to threaten that he was going to start taking points away and she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "so?". Apparently the prize of playing in his room just wasn't tantalizing enough?

I guess Cory's partly right, though, huh Mo? Nah, I don't think there are any atheists in your church. The young man was utterly mistaken ;D Here's a story i can share (though I'm not sure it makes much sense in English): Back in the day, when I was an innocent elementary school Catholic prepareing for the First Communion, a classmate asked me what the First Communion was all about. I proudly turned to him and confidentely replied: "It's the first time you receive a hostess!" My teacher roared with laughter and I simply couldn't figure out why.... ;D

That might be funny for an additional reasons in the States. Hostess is a brand of cupcakes.

Rose that is to funny!!! so today Noah said something to me that is funny but its not and it just goes to prove my point about how much noah misses his dad.. In a random conversation noah bursts out and says " Mom I want to fire my dad and hire a new one" I laughed on the inside and then proceded to ask him why and he says cause hes lazy and never comes to see me!
