Terry Scott Taylor in Concert at Aletheia Christian FellowshipJoin us for a special concert with Terry Scott Taylor at Aletheia Christian Fellowship. Terry is best known as the lead singer and creative lyrical wit behind bands such as Daniel Amos, the Swirling Eddies, and the Lost Dogs. This time around, however, he is touring solo and will be making an appearance at Aletheia with his son Andrew on bass. “Armed only with a guitar and his incredible collection of hats, audiences will discover the real Terry Taylor. Intimacy is the name of the game and everyone is invited to play along. Songs. Stories. Answers. You’ll hear them all like never before. Come witness the mind of a visionary, the heart of an artist and the soul of a fellow pilgrim.”The concert will be held at Aletheia’s normal Sunday morning meeting time. Here are the details: Terry Scott Taylor in Concert Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at 11:00 AM Aletheia Christian Fellowship
If you plan on visiting, be sure to follow these directions to the venue as there are two churches that meet in our building at that time: www.aletheiacf.com/site/cpage.asp?cpage_id=12740&sec_id=2432&nc=1251139966892Concert is sponsored by Aletheia Christian Fellowship, but donations will be accepted to defray the cost. I also want to invite everyone to our meeting this Sunday (August 30) as we'll be doing a special montage of Terry Taylor songs in our worship set with a special guest guitarist.

2 more days!!!
We've got 31 people who've responded so far, so we should be about right at capacity, but I'm sure we have room for any stragglers, so let me know if you want to join us! (no need if you're a regular Aletheia person)

We loved it. Bought 2 CD's. I'm glad I know someone who's out there finding these cool yet obscure Christian artists , because I'm too lazy to search for them on my own. Thanks for setting up the show. I hope it was a blessing for Terry and his son as well.

Excellent performance, excellent sound, the church room really is a good venue for music.
In addition to the songs, I was also quite moved by his witness between the last few songs.
Like when he described an event when he was a child, and had a sudden and intense feeling of being watched over, and loved.
And of course, not being able to recreate that feeling again - because it really did come from something outside of him watching over and loving him. And how it was not until he was an adult that he realized that he had already encountered Jesus of Nazareth.
Powerful.

Yes, that whole story that went along with Honeysuckle breeze was so much like C.S. Lewis' early childhood experiences with longing/ joy and akin to his later discovery of the fulfillment of those desires. Also, Lewis also talks a lot about the futile attempt to recreate moments like that. Reminded me A LOT of the first part of Lewis' book The Pilgrim's Regress.

Terry was AMAZING wow loved him. . . Josh you must of known I was going to ask for the song list, LOL thanks for putting it up! I loved the testimony in between also the stories were great! My favorite stories were the one about his dad when he passed on how at that exact moment that song Terry had written for him was playing! Then the Honeysuckle Breeze and how he was standing in the room and how he felt knowning someone was loving him and was there with him! Very enjoyable. Its always great to find new awesome music to listen to!!!

Gahhhhhhhhh!!!! I wish I could have been there. Fortunately, God granted me the patience and serenity that I needed not to get bogged down in bitterness for not making it. From what I have read here, it sounds like it was a great show. I would have loved to have heard several of those tracks live. I was also hoping to purchase a couple of discs and now I will have to probably order them online. Congrats on pulling this off. I just wish that it could have been an evening performance.

We missed you.
Some of my favorite audience moments:
Terry's reaction to Andy and Stacy sitting in the front row- "You're gonna make me paranoid" ;D
Nate's "successful" comment after I Had a Bad Experience with the CIA...
