Hey ACF folk, Please check your email tomorrow morning in case we need to cancel church due to snow. If we do, I’m email first, and if you get it, please respond. That would cut down on the amount of phone calls. Thanks! Josh

What did you guys do with your snow days? We made a foray into the snow, but Riley pooped out on us, so we spent the rest of the day playing games and eating and napping.

... we spent the rest of the day playing games and eating and napping. Ahhh! Sounds to me like a day well spent. Last night we went out to a Christmas concert by the Oregon Chorale. So beautiful! We took some friends and then brought them home to decorate Christmas cookies with us. We stayed up pretty late, so we all slept in this morning--even the dog ;D Then the boys went out and braved the elements because we had no groceries, while Elizabeth and I waited at home, drinking hot cocoa and watching the news like good weaker vessels...(insert evil chuckle here.) Most of rest of the day was spent watching it snow, drinking tea, watching it snow some more, watching dog play in snow, watching tv for school closures , feeding hungry, snowy, high school boys that came in from the snow, and--did I mention?--watching it snow. Unfortunately, Paul is working on a cold, so he wasn't able to enjoy the day quite so much--but he DID bring back the groceries like a good hunter. I could spend weeks doing this, and by the grace of God, (read: further school closures,) maybe I will!!!! ~Snowy regards to all from the Lands of the West.....

First I watched football, then I watched some more football, and ended my day by watching football. I cried myself to sleep after my Giants lost to the Cowboys. Robin

Played in the snow, sipped some chai tea and read by a roaring fire (immediately followed by a long nap). We had six HUGE limbs fall off or our doug fir last night while we slept. Fortunately, it was on the yard side of the tree and not the house side. They were they kind that would probably go through the roof. I think we're all sleeping in the basement tonight.

Well, I had this entire week off from school due to snow, so 3 weeks for Christmas break. I've never seen anything like it in 11 1/2 years of teaching.
Must be the global warming.

oh let's see.. what did I watch on Sunday...
Red Without Blue - A documentary about twin brothers - one who is transgendered, the other is gay.
Amish: A People of Preservation - some 50 minute thing on the Amish, I'm pretty sure a PBS special from like.. 1993.
Singles
Following Sean- A documentary about a 4 year old who was interviewed in 1969, on Haight-Ashbury, whose parents were wild hippies, and who ran around by himself a lot. The guy who made the film in 1969 for a project, follows up on Sean and his family later on, to see what became of them.
OH yeah- And I mostly hate the snow because snow=no work, and no work=no money. Also, I'm constantly worrying about how my car will get to and from nanny jobs at night, because NOBODY cancels nanny jobs, which is good for money, but stresses me out to no end.

Apparently some dig "serious" online discussion and other "serious" documentary watching! God makes all types. Actually, I share the same fascination with documentaries. These sound really interesting. What I don't have is much time to watch them- even with the snow! How did Following Sean end?
