I don't have much to say about this chapter. It seems pretty straightforward. But I do like what Paul points out about some Corinthian phrases, i.e. "'Everything is permissible for me' - but not everything is beneficial" (verse 12). This serves as a reminder to me that while God allows us to do whatever we want, not all things we do are what He has intended for us. It's something to keep in mind when making all kinds of decisions.

I just got done writing my More Vivid than Fantasy post and then I read in Corinthians 6 about us Jugding Angels. Uh, wow! Don't you kind of wish that Paul said more? It's like he knew something we didn't. Actually, I'm very curious if the apochrypal books or the early church fathers shed more light on this subject, being very near to Paul's writings and perhaps reflecting oral tradition we have lost.
