:oare we doing it wrong! over the last few years of being a christian. was marijuana used in anointing oil not carcinogenic calamus, or the plain olive oil used in the church these days!
I do believe the anointing oil of the temple priests would have a special medicinal value to protect them from harmful diseases from all the blood of livestock. i know this from being in the past an abattoir worker! and god was very direct that it be made in exact measurements! like it was meant as a compound! maybe the churches and jews either neglected or forgotten because of losing meanings of words in ancient languages! I know the jews lost the meaning to some of their words of their old language! and that the kings james interpretation of the word canna bosm is questionable! besides calamus grows in marshes not deserts where moses and the Israelites wandered. no where in the new testament does it say to anoint with olive oil for healing as described in james! i believe the two witnesses will change all this! -the bible calls them the sons of oil! and the imagery set in Jeremiah describes them as two olive trees whom have branches provide oil to a bowl which sit on top of the lamp stand which has feeder tubes that supply oil to the seven churches! maybe they will wear sackcloth -made from hemp!!! not goats hair as scholars believe! and will do this in morning but also protest! then most Christian churches will reject them and persecute them along side governments, law and the general population! the beast will destroy them eventually. this to me suits a more modern day scenario not two people walking around in goats hair looking like cavemen figures, also it would describe the reasons for their persecution more fittingly! also find it interesting the legalization of cannabis in the first place. it seems that big business tied with government may of had an influence! and if you dig deeper in to those companies history you uncover a whole world of corruption. one being that cannabis could of been used as a viable fuel so today we wouldn't have a green house effect, like its dirty chemical cousin petroleum oil! not only that but pub med double blind trails show some amazing findings in cancer, anti inflammatory diseases, neuropathic pain -which i am currently treating myself with marvelous results, that prescription drugs have failed, not to mention they had me chronically addicted and have ruined my stomach- so i have trouble taking them! the list goes on! i don't believe that cannabis is the tree of life, like some cannabis christians believe, however i believe it may be the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that when adam and eve ate there eyes where opened! so adam and eves eyes where blinded before, so they weren't guilty of sin just because they didn't know the difference. however if you are made to see like god and do evil you are made accountable! anyway back to multi billion dollar drug companies and the fuel industry, these may be the ones really ruling the world, and governments maybe just there puppets. after all its money that really gives a person power and authority by this worlds standard! i question, if you will seek you will find then what is to be searched for must be hidden, and what better place for the evil one to hide something then is where no-one will go looking!

???thanks josh for a response, i welcome all arguments. that way only the truth will stand firm! i don't think i was arguing over law and foolish controversies, and how does one know a controversy to be foolish without first testing all controversies. i am trying here to find the truth and understand prophecy. i have been a christian 23 years, and seen the most shocking examples of christian behaviors that must be an embarrassment to our lord! i have spent the last few years trying to get to the bottom of why some are healed of say a headache in a church while others say with breast cancer or kidney failure receive no healing! teachers say this is because the sovereignty of god and we can't question this! but it just doesn't add up to me with scripture. you also say stay away from weed i don't need it for enlightenment. i don't take it for enlightenment i take it for healing and to bring my pain under control and if i wanted enlightenment from weed i would take the flowers of the plant for its thc, not the leaf i take for the antispasmodic effects of the cbd. the law was written to benefit man not god so man would live life to the fullest! however man warped the laws importance and exalted it above life itself, the very thing it was meant to protect! so then it destroyed lives instead of saving them! even the sabbath itself is not more important than life- jesus illustrated this, and in fact he himself is life. that there is no life without him! and the sabbath was meant to preserve our spiritual lives by ordering us to have at least one day a week rest in god! what i am trying to expose is the world of big business ???profiting off of health by controlling it, jeopardizing the lives of many as well as even the spiritual lives of many. not only that but Christianity has allowed bad teaching into its mix, selling itself as a whore so as to go with whats popular not what is truth! plus we are all guilty on relying on what man says, not studying for ourselves the bible and its full history and wrestling with god to find the facts! god provided for all our needs in nature, but man has decided yet again to call something unclean that god calls clean! and also to think that miracles must always be rooted in the spiritual and fail to see that seen material creation itself is a miracle and that god uses more than the spiritual things of this world but also the physical also, and in fact the two must come together! then those people don't understand 2 Kings 5:1. but anyway i am just a blind fool feeling around in the darkness for the light switch.

I have a hard time believing that we're missing something in the administration of anointing oil. I doubt that there is a secret lost pharmalogical component to its use. And I'd hate insistence upon such a conjecture to become a divisive issue.

Christianity has allowed bad teaching into its mix, selling itself as a whore so as to go with whats popular not what is truth! plus we are all guilty on relying on what man says, not studying for ourselves the bible and its full history and wrestling with god to find the facts!

no where in the new testament does it say anoint with olive oil! only anoint with oil in james! although those in the old testament with skin diseases were to be treated with olive oil and is quite effective for that may i state, the anointing oil is much more effective i believe! have not tested the the for my self as is hard to source the amount i need to make the oil, even harder that i cut all ties to people whom sell it when i was younger when i became a christian! i was originally trying to study healings and the gifts of, when i stubbled on cannabis, i thought too it was ridiculous, but three times i stopped searching answers and god kept bringing it up, i then prayed to god that if he want's me to take this further he must have me find some because i have no way to source it! i found some that very afternoon while walking the dog! not in someones backyard but on the ground by the path i walked! although the only real interpretation is fragrant cane, latter interpreted by king james writers as calamus which has a carcinogenic poison isoasarone which metabolizes in the liver as the drug mescaline -not ecstasy as some may believe going by what someone studying in the pharmacist area said on line. if you look up all the surrounding countries of israel, you would find similarity in the ancient word cannabis mostly starting with the letters kanna. including israel with its word kannabosm! i am not trying to cause division, truth doesn't cause division only error does! if everyone knew the truth then their would be no division because there is only one truth, so no-one would be divided! i also not proposing here that jesus had the ability to heal because of cannabis although it was used as a tool, like jesus spitting in the dirt and putting on the blind mans eyes example. and they anointed each other as priests, because that was what they were essentially and healed other christians with the anointing oil also. i get that some know that oil represents physically the holy spirit, but i challenge that it goes further than this! that god sets a physical model and a spiritual model and they are tied! take baptism for example. i have seen people get baptized and they are told they are dying in christ as they go under the water and coming up a new. this is not baptism! baptism was before jesus! and john baptised before jesus had been crucified! even the jewish priests were baptising- it is this! repentance! and using water as a representation of the flood where god destroyed all evil and cleansed the earth! we must repent before receiving holy spirit, baptism is repentance. jesus baptism is fire -the holy spirit which comes from the word, upon hearing! you can receive the holy spirit without baptism {repentance} but if you haven't repented you will go back to your vomit! if you are not sorry about your old ways you will go back to them, in fact you will never leave them entirely. the church has lost symbolism the symbols tie it down so as to give us a picture, if we don't understand the symbolism then we won't understand the meaning! a lot of the miracles themselves are tied with symbolism! what is bound here on earth will be bound in heaven.

-i am referring to many different teaching throughout all the churches of god! a classic is speaking in tongues with pentecostal groups! this is erroneous, along with their discernment of the holy spirit. the high they are getting is from hypothalamus being excited by endorphines from there own bodies! and actually has its root in pride of the individual! you get the same kick in a rock band where the hairs on the back of your neck stand up as everyone is [applauding you!]. they always seem spiritually proud, and the kick they get is because they think they are better than other Christians and god is showing special favour to them! in fact that other christians are babes fed on breast milk, not like these super apostles whom eat meat! but in isaiah 28 this scripture was warning them and meant for them instead, how ironic! it goes on to mention they will behave like dunkards- not being drunk from wine, and god will cause them to fall backwards and become injured, snared and captured! tongues was a gift with a no nonsense purpose of preaching to countries of different languages and that only! if ones salvation relies on speaking in tongues it would be the first of the gifts, and jesus himself would of spoke in them! they behave like the prophets of baal, they might as well cut themselves, they will get the same endorphine response! don't people understand that the devil sets himself up as god in end times in gods temple! we are gods temple people! not some jewish building! anyway i apologise if my words are little harsh, i feel they need to be. i myself fell to this foolishness at one stage thats why it repulses me so much! so i am not having a dig at them alone but me also! so to this church it is Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there. made busy like busy little bees, pre-occupied, instead of making gods church a house of rest and a house of prayer!

god knew man was going to sin before he made him and her, the same as he knew satan would rebell against him, the way he knew judas would betray him. so at the begining god made the things we would need even if that is thousands of years ahead of time!

romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. so god provided for all our needs in nature as well as spiritually! take suffering for example, it was meant to be! if we are not born into suffering, to feel its sting and see the suffering that sin and disobedience brings. we would not know compassion! and we wouldn't learn to be repulsed at sin such! and instead becoming like a new type of angel knowing good and evil and witnesses first hand sins worthlessness, then we too if being born into glory like the angels were. may become proud and rebel and stir yet another war in the heavens! no it is best for us to be humiliated and suffer this life, it is better for our souls! better for heaven too, to sort the wheat from the chaff before taken in! before adam and eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil they were blind!

i believe that cannabis is the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the way it changed our ancestors forever!

and although it brought some bad things it also brings good things also.

It seems your claim that anointing "oil" was not oil but cannibis is based on a lot of guesswork and interpretation that is tentative, which makes it ironic that you upbraid pentecostals so harshly when, although I don't always agree with Pentecostals, I do see how they make a reasonable case that not all tongues are human languages.    

Finding a bag of weed after praying about weed does not seem that sturdy of a support for your belief.  And Romans 8:28 need not mean what you are saying.  In fact, if it is true that in nature can be found redemption from every evil, then that means that if we are simply smart enough to know where to look, we can solve our own ills without need of the cross.  Then the gospel becomes a message of arcane knowledge (gnosticism) rather than relationship.  Or am I misrepresenting your view?

- definitely not, Gnostic teachings apposed the teachings of the disciples and caused a lot of grief for them in their time! in fact I stay away from new testament pseudepigraphical  books for the very reason that they were gnostic teachings, with the use of the word aeons is pretty much a give away.
how-ever i do except the book of enoch ethiopian version and pre-1600 version because four forgeries were made after that time. the reason being that jude mentions verses taken from this book. the bible also mentions the book of jasher, how-ever i haven't made my mind up yet whether that book in circulation is authentic or not.

the real question is why would we be asked to anoint with oil in healing when it has no practical use what so ever? and if it is not written what that oil is in the new testament, i remember telling a person whom believes he has a healing ministry this question and he said it doesn't matter, i even used baby oil once! yet i then found his own wife died of cancer! so if we are told to use the oil its ingredients must also be provided for us, and if not in the new testament then it must be the old testament, which i believe it is! however i found an error their in translation and wouldn't want to be anointing someone with poisonous calamus! its not the first time the old jewish language has been mis interpreted because the jews forgotten meaning of their old language. example Genesis 2:12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.) the word aromatic resin comes from the word
וְאֶבֶן  bdellium,
which could mean a few different meanings! but i tell you it makes sense this is talking about cannabis resin, especially that the garden had cannabis ( tree of knowledge) and the river through the (center) of the garden -were the tree of knowledge and tree of life were situated, flowed into this pishon river where the resin settled. -here is a good reference for looking up old testament scriptures qbible.com/hebrew-old-testament/genesis/2.html . i managed to fix my asthma with cannabis because of its anti-inflammatory action, my doctor nearly killed me by giving me pulmicort steriod, which made my asthma so bad i nearly couldn't breath at all! when i complained the doc then put me on symbicort which was milder but produced the same results! when i told my wife, she said to me i wondered about that , i knew the first day that pulmicort made my own asthma worst, so i stopped taking it! now interesting these medications come from the same company astrazeneca, and the doctor will be getting kick backs for selling that medication for this company, yet this is the same company that released an anti-depressant that ended up giving thousands of people diabeties, and whats worst they knew about it! not only that they do there testing in poor countries as to dodge strict controls, and have lest costs if sued for damages! not only that but were in conflict of interrest when they won a noble prize for their research when all the while were giving mases of money to noble media. not to mention having sex abuse claims against their leading board members for hiring only young women and getting sexual favours from them! our drug companies do not have our best interests in mind! this is just the tip of the iceburg, and i can't stress enough there is a problem in the world with health and its also in our churches! now lets take the cannabis plant it has a bad repretation of having psychotic substances in it, which could effect the mentally unstable! yet did you know it also had a anti-psychotic drug in it to offset the psychotic effects - interesting, why would god do that? and to further elaborate that ordinary people must not take the anointed oil, that only priests, prophets and kings chosen by god are permitted! god gives a strict warning here! and i believe because it opens your eyes so you must come under gods covering! not only that the whole plant was used for the oil not just the flowers which are higher in thc and less in cbd like the leaves. marijuana is stimatised by us government and its prohibition was built on lies, and we as gullible people believed it because it stroked our racial prejudices. the whole world followed americas decision to outlaw it! it doen't say not to take cannabis in the bible yet it grows in all those regions, there is cannabis growing in the wild today in israel! yet the bible failed to mention cannabis and decided only to address to much wine! its not what goes into a man that make him unclean but what comes out of him. i don't support the theory that cannabis is the tree of life like cannabis christian groups for the fact that the tree of life has been placed out of reach till we have crossed over into paradise. and partaking cannabis obviously doesn't make you live for-ever! smokers still die! i don't support christian cannabis groups for the simple fact they like other christian groups have errors  in their interpretations.
 
i upbraid pentecostals so harshly because i have only ever seen bad fruit from them! my first encounter with Christianity was with a pentecostal church, as a young teenager! i even decided to be baptized in there church! but to my shock when i came out of the water the minister prompted me with what did you say, and i said nothing to the microphone in front of the thousands watching! then i realized he was doing that with all the people baptized their and wanted them to speak in tongues! i had a wonderful moment in god but this destroyed that by showing itself for what it was! fabricated! now i left that church and constantly had run ins with other pentecostal groups over the years and was never good! one occasion i went out with friends after a girlfriend of ours just gave herself to the lord. she was suddenly bailed up by two pentecostal christians on the street and asked oh so you are a christain are you, so you speak in tongues, no she replied. oh then you are not a christain, they replied! i tell you they were lucky that day i was a christain! really come on look at the fruit! some pentecostals don't realise that these teachings comes from dakes bible! yes, 1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels,

but i would argue what this means, for example if iam talking in the language of an angel, what is an angel doing in me in the first place! yes its alright if that the holy spirit and its speaking in the tongue of an angel, but obviously perhaps its the fallen angels tongue also! so until i can determine what it is speaking i would be very cautious! why is it these pentecostals behave like they do! i personally think its to give a bad representation of christianality, like the pedophile problem in catholic churches, ect, ect, ect!!! interresting you don't always agree with Pentecostals, why is this common! my spirit goes into high alert when one is around! my wife can't stand them, and finds them rude people! specially when my wife is having prayer and one decides to go off in tongues while someone is still praying, it is rude, and you are undermining the one whom is praying! i tell you it has its root in pride!!! again -look at the fruit! interestingly when pentecostals first went to evangelise europe and asia, they went over there to find that the foreign speaking people couldn't understand their tongues, so had to teach their missionaries the foreign language! honestly to many stupid, stupid things these people focus on. their was a church split at our church because the charismatic super apostals was saying that everyone had the jezabel spirit! its this foolishness i always and repeat ALWAYS see with this bunch! i heard a woman say the devil poked me in the eye to stop me coming here to witness, really that didn't work and how was a sore red eye going to be successful at stopping you witness, i wondered. no satan is making you say foolish things, so as to give foolish witness to scare any sensible atheists away more like it! really i could go on and on with my experiences with this group. if want to know even more just ask!

- i wasn't just this alone, and wouldn't of excepted this being that alone, it was the strange journey i have been on. god revealing scriptures and all the circumstances around that, the prayers, the visions, the dreams upon waking, the study! the wrestling for years for answers and finding what i didn't expect to find! i have been doing what god asked and seeking and he has been keeping his end of the bargain and have me find! only time will tell if this is truth or not! i can be wrong and its not the first time! and time will reveal whether this is right or not! you got to remember i was hard against marijuana before all this journey took place! and i am not saying  that in nature can be found redemption, redemption is spiritual redemption, and the death that came was death of the soul not the death of the body! no god provided and still provides for the body in nature, he wrote the future at the beginning, writting the beginning knowing all outcomes. god provides good health in nature also, why is this hard to believe, stop eating and see what happens! the curse still stands and nature produces thorns and thistles, the ground is hard, the sun is getting hotter, and will get hotter more in revelation! but god has giving good things also in nature that provide for us! how did isaiah know to put figs on king Hezekiah's boil to heal him! no nature is mixed with good and bad, so we have to seek god to which is which! and what i am saying is to discover the good things that man has hidden because it threatens their business!

again about saying the above, this may or may not be from the lord. i could be just raving the imaginations of my mind. interestingly jobs three friends convincingly spoke in the name of the lord! and it wasn't the lord at all! when god finally did speak the earth shook! this has not happened to me, so don't take what i say as true fact. only time will tell what is right!
