There was a time when people saw their lives as leading toward a moment of death. Their death reached the culmination of their life, and death-bed sayings were considered very significant. So significant, that people would consider their death bed sayings years before they were near death.
What would you want your death bed saying to be?

What an awesome question (and observation).
I'm going to have to think about that one. But I'd love to hear yours in the meantime.

I really like Karl Marx' final words and might take them for myself: "Go! Last words are for people who didn't already say enough!"
But I also love Pauls "final" words "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith" (2Tim 4:7)... I'd love to be able to say these words.

Along these lines, I have often had the thought that I would love to leave behind a letter to everyone close to me. Kinda like a final epistle mixed with thanks, encouragement, and exhortation.
But that would be a lot longer than a few lines....
Still thinking about that.

"I don't get the whole death-bed thing...I mean, who would actually buy one of those?"
