I find it interesting in the beginning of chapter 7 how Nathan the prophet gives David the go-ahead on something and then receives a word from God to the contrary.
This is a rare biblical glimpse into the fact that even anointed prophets of God could sometimes get things wrong and need a correction message from the Lord.
A question I have is whether Nathan's original advice was negligent or not? Was it a sign that Nathan wasn't walking in step with the Holy Spirit, or was it just a situation that emphasizes that as long as we are right with God, it's okay to proceed with our inclination and that God will be responsible for any course-corrections necessary.
