I've been listening through the Great Divorce by CS Lewis. I barely remember reading it years ago, so it's a much needed return.
For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's the fictional (need I say fictional) account of a bus ride from hell to heaven packed with insightful reflections on the nature of the Christian faith and the implications of heaven and hell. All done of course with the typical Lewis charm.
What's most interesting about it so far is the conversations the people from hell have regarding their own perspectives on their situation. Maybe I'll post some snippets.
Have others read it? If you're interested, Robin said I should put the audio CD in the ACF library so you can check it out too (we also have a book copy of it). It's not a long read, but very fascinating.

I'll just post a few quotes/ sections that stand out to me as I go through it:
"Those that hate goodness are sometimes nearer [to heaven] than those that know nothing at all about it and think they have it already."
