I'm very curious to hear from those of you who either hold to a Universal Reconciliation position (that all will eventually be saved in Christ) or those who have considered it, what your views on hell* are, then, after all?
After all, Scripture speaks a lot on the subject (sometimes more overtly- as in Hades, other times perhaps more obliquely- i.e., Gehenna).
So, could you give me a picture of how "hell" might work (the purpose, duration, timeline before or after the final judgment, what would constitute one's getting out of hell, etc..).
Please don't hesitate to make some reasonable speculations. That's really what I'm looking for.
* I'm using the word "hell" as a catch-all for the related terms "lake of fire" "gehenna" "hades", etc.. knowing full well that distinctions can be made- I want to know about those too.
