My verse of the week to memorize is Psalms 16:5. "You, Lord, are all I want! You are my choice, and you keep me safe."
I love "You are my choice." It is such a great proclamation. We must choose Him each day. Without actively choice, we will slowly pull away from Him. I think this is one of the greatest statements we can make to God. It's one of the things that God desires the most from Him.

Active choosing.
I'm feeling the reality of this often in the mornings lately. This week in particular I'm struggling with my tendency to choose to communicate with God for a minute or two and then subtly slipping into just thinking about "spiritual things" that seem important but that aren't really a substitute for simply spending time with Him.
I have a brain that is geared for "solving things", but it's so important to just rest and enjoy His presence.
