Since we have a few teachers here, are there any thoughts on what you see in Wisconsin? Personally, I think the protesters are doing irreparable harm to their cause by acting in such a irresponsible way in reaction to the proposed legislation by Gov. Scott Walker.
Whether you agree or disagree with the Unions complaints against Gov. Walker, I think we can all agree that putting a Hitler mustache on his picture and drawing comparisons between the two is way out of line. And where is the media? It was hardly a month ago when we had a Congress Women shot at a rally. Then we heard for days upon days by democrats and the media that this was all a by-product of harsh political rhetoric from the tea party. Now the silence is deafening.
And what about the cowardly Democrats who are fleeing the state in order to avoid voting on the legislation? Can any here endorse this childish and pathetic behavior?

Yeah.
Unions have their place, but they have pretty much overstepped their bounds in a lot of ways.
A compromise could be made, but the governor and the unions need to actually be willing to talk. And the teachers and the Democrat politicians in this case are really acting like babies.

I don't have strong interest in the subject (I know, I probably should but it's my a-politicalness coming out), but in general I have a pretty similar outlook to rbbailey's.
