I can't believe Robin's other link lead me to this (and I can't believe I'm posting this ) , but I thought it was interesting:

Angelina Jolie’s estranged dad Jon Voight is so desperate to reconcile with his daughter and see his grandchildren for the first time that he’s been reaching out to Brad Pitt’s parents behind her back for help.

“They’ve been communicating,” says a family friend. “Brad’s parents [Bill and Jane Pitt] see it as a ‘Christian to Christian’ approach. They are regular churchgoers, and Jon’s a big religious follower and considers himself a true Christian.” And the insider says Brad, who likes Jon, would be pleased if Angie… and her dad healed their strained relationship.

Yes, it is from the Star, but, sounds like from elsewhere on the net it's true that Jon Voight has become a Christian.

I think it's a bit fascinating to imagine that these two have parents who are Christians hoping for reconciliation.

I started to become interested in Jon Voight after listening to an interview he had with Michael Medved. Voight was behind the film September Dawn, in which he played the role of Brigham Young. It takes a significant amount of courage to reveal yourself as a Christian and a conservative in Hollywood.
