Have you seen the movie? I went to see is about 3 weeks ago with the boys and I thought that it was far better than the Matrix. I highly recommend seeing this movie.

Yes I have. Far better, huh?
I'm not so sure.
I think the Matrix held a lot more spiritually applicable analogies and was more ground-breaking, but Inception definitely broke some new ground as well.

I didn't find matrix to be very spiritual, but it was entertaining. I never really gave the matrix a second thought after watching it, but I felt that Inception had more emotional depth and I found myself still thinking about the movie for days after seeing it. I'm not sure what it was, but I felt like I had seen something important.
Also I find Leonardo DiCaprio's acting to be better than Keanu Reeves.

Anyone is a better actor than Keanu, imo You didn't see spiritual connections in the Matrix?

I'm sure that if I watched it again I would see some, but when the movie first came out spirituality was really not on my mind. I sure that Neo could be seen as a Jesus figure if that is where you're going. I also thought that the Matrix Reloaded (sequel) was awful.
Some of my favorite movies are those that stir my emotions, and not necessarily filled with spiritual themes. I tend to gravitate to movies that bring out sadness, empathy, anger and even fear. However, I really liked Gran Torino which had a number of spiritual themes.
