Just wanted to put a plug in for the Lost Dogs new album, Old Angel. It's a gem. Borne out of their Route 66* tour from Illinois to Cali, the album focuses on Americana themes from the Great Depression to the Wild West. There's a new, awesome cover of the Daniel Amos song Glory Road which rocks. My personal favorites are Israelites and Okies (Terry at his usual lyrical genius) and Pearl Moon/Hooverville camp, which is a hearbreaking Depression-era themed ballad. Good, good, stuff. You can order it from: www.thelostdogs.com*If you liked the movie Cars, you'll love this album

*If you liked the movie Cars, you'll love this album Um, I'm going to have to disagree. I love the movie Cars and don't like this album. But I also don't really like the Lost Dogs' sound all that much.* *Yes, I realize this is going to require a meeting between the pastor and the elders to discuss my status as a member of Aletheia and I am fully aware that I might be forced out as a result of my heretical statements. It's a risk I'm willing to take.

Well it was quite a different show than normal for the Lost Dogs.
When they took the stage they informed us that Terry had just been rushed to the ER suddenly right before the show. I am told he's okay but I'm not sure what the problem was.
So, Mike and Derri had to scramble to take over his vocal lines which made for a humorous but interesting concert at times. At one point Mike even attempted to imitate Terry's voice which was pretty funny. With their typical humor they also facetiously discussed how much more money they'd be making if there were only 3 people in the band (minus Terry) instead of 4 (with Terry). All the more humorous because Terry is really the "front man" and writer behind the Lost Dogs.
It would have been a poor sampling for someone new to the Dogs but it was an interesting twist for me.
But be praying for Terry.
