ain't all that bad:
Proverbs 16:15
In the light of the king’s face is life, And his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain.
Jeremiah 5:24b
Let us now fear the LORD our God, Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season...
Hosea 6:3
Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.
Zechariah 10:1
Ask the LORD for rain In the time of the latter rain. The LORD will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.
"When I find out your name I'll see the latter rain come down"

Thats's nice and reassuring for any brits(hate that word has too much negativity to it), we get about 4 week long summers in spring and the weirdly named Summer.

The climate in Oregon is fairly similar to Great Britain- except for late summer. We usually have very little rain and high temps from late July all the way through August and a nice dry, warm period Sept-Oct.

Dry period in september-october, i've never heard of that in Britain my freind, our climate is fuelled by rainclouds and wind. But we get a bit of sunshine here and there. But this warm period in September doesn't fit with my life here. Autumn or Falls yet another season of rain.

It's the November through June that's kinda like Britain.
