This is a video clip from the Glenn Beck show on Fox news regarding the amount of money being printed this year to aid the economy...I'm just curious to hear what others think about what it says about our times...

Thanks for sharing that video Rose. I try to watch Glenn Beck every night. Unfortunately that means I stay up until midnight. Glenn has been sounding the alarm for a long time, even going back to the Bush administration. It is becoming more apparent that our government is addicted to spending, and power. I am somewhat fearful for our country because I see this trend continuing to get worse. 6 months ago I feared that we could be looking at another great depression, and looking back, I think that we (The United States) Should have drastically reduced government spending and allowed some of our financial institutes to fail. This would have allowed for a painful market correction, but in the end we would have worked our way out of it, and learned some valuable lessons. Instead we opted to prop up AIG as well as other banks, spending trillions along the way. Because of this it appears we may be headed for far worse than a great depression. A total collapse of our monetary system could be in our near future. Just today I heard that we spend 1 billion dollars a day just to service the interest on our dept. this is frightening, and unfortunately we don't have the leadership in Washington that will make to necessary, painful, and unpopular decisions that may save us from catastrophe.
