Well I would love to give an in depth review of this movie, but as I think about there is nothing I can really say without giving up information that might spoil the movie . I am happy that I went to see the movie, but I'm not sure I could watch it again . I was captivated all the way through. By the way, it is now official, Will Smith is without a doubt my favorite actor. Hopefully some of you will get a chance to see this movie in the theater. Robin

Saw the previews. Looked interesting. Smith has really grown on me as of late too.
Did you see Hancock?

At least 3 times by now. This movie seems to be like nothing he's ever done before, but the closest would be "The pursuit of Happiness". But this is one not as cheerful.

If you haven't seen this movie - but plan to - I recommend NOT reading the following.
I had a 20 minute phone conversation with my best friend after I saw Seven Pounds. It was gripping, to say the least. It conjures up all sorts of religious, philosophical and ethical questions. Suicide, as a standalone topic, has enough confusion surrounding it for many believers. I don't think it's right by any means, BUT when someone makes a self-sacrificing decision that benefits people he loves, does that change its "level of wrong" or something?
This movie is just so interesting... and, yes Will Smith is absolutely my favorite actor, I will likely see every movie he ever puts out for the rest of my life.

Rose and I just watched this finally. Agree, Kraig, interesting ethical dilemma. It seems justified to me in a extreme unction sort of way.
Robin- watching this while reading through The Inescapable Love of God... some interesting parallels to say the least- especially with what Talbott says about the righting of wrongs/ justice.

Hey!! I just watched this on Tuesday. Randomly grabbed it at the video store. I watched it with a friend, then had everyone else here watch it. Loved it.
