I've got a quick question about Quickbooks.
We need to get the program, for the daycare, and I can't quite figure out which one to get, or if there is a special program for daycares or not. Any advice? Anybody have experience? I've never used Quickbooks before. We're going to be using it on an older PC.

We've used it but I don't know much of anything about what would be applicable for daycares. Michelle?

Personally, I cringe at the sound of Quickbooks. There are some day care specific softwares out there (you can google it). Meghan, perhaps we can sit down and talk about what your needs are, etc. I imagine that one of the biggest things you want to be able to do is track expenses for tax purposes.

yeah. someone mentioned that quickbooks is just really slow and hard to use, and someone else told me about a program that their daycare uses. I guess I'm just trying to find the cheapest way to get ahold of a program.
Yes. We want it for tax purposes, and also employee information and taxes, worker's comp, etc.
If it makes any difference, we're signing up to be a non-profit, but not a 501 (c)3.

by the way- we're using an older PC and it's got XP on it.
