Ahh Josh, you will be doing some editing for revenge of the Sith. It has the most violence of all other star wars movies combined, including decapitation, cremating a heart inside a sortof living being, the slaghter of nearly every Jedi, while not graphic still disturbing. A blury imagine of Anakin (now Darth Vader without the mask yet) killing the younglings (little kids maybe 7-10 in age) And probably most disturbing, why Vader needs the mask. He is quite simply burned alive, and they show it in rather graphic fashion. As a result, I think you might want to simply hold off on showing this particular film for a bit. Just my humble opinion, Best Regards, Kevin

So, we've got 4 kids on the floor all snug in their sleeping bags. There was a minor dispute over which Star Wars film to watch, but the matter was decided by Jeremy's raffle simulator, and, what should win, but my personal favorite, Empire Strikes Back!!!!

From a purely cinematic perspective Empire Strikes Back is by far the best Star Wars movie, HANDS DOWN!

The kids seem a bit restless during the pre-Hoth battle sexual tension between Han and Leia.
Oh, wait! All eyes are glued on the probe droid now.

Yay Probe Droid! Its amazing, the prope droid was dispatched from a remote solar system so we know it has a hyperdrive and is capable of "lightspeed" which is inaccurate as we find out in later books, they are actually tunnelling through hyperspace. Anyways the energy densities needed to even theoretically bend space in the slightest that alone "tunnel through it" are greater than the output of 12 of our suns! Why then is the explosion of the droid so pitifully small if it can store such energy densities. Just a thought....

I had to give some love for Jedi. I really think Empire is the best, but man, I loved Jedi as a kid. Ewoks rule.
From Kevin Smith's Clerks:
RANDAL Which did you like better: Jedi or The Empire Strikes Back.
DANTE (exasperated) Empire.
RANDAL Blasphemy.
DANTE Empire had the better ending: Luke gets his hand cut off, and finds out Vader's his father; Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. And that's life-a series of down endings. All Jedi had was a bunch of Muppets.

Totally agreed, but, yeah, it's funny how kids prefer Jedi. I have to talk Justus into watching episode 5 every now and then
(except he loves the Hoth sequence)
Well, I guess as the creators of Lost said,
"Some like it Hoth", ..... some like it not.

Episode 3 is the real clincher though, it wraps it up into one neat package, with exception of "PADME!!" Being shouted by James Earl Jones. That is pathetic!

So, why does Amidala have a fake British accent in Episode I but later as Padme an American accent?

She was a decoy.

But not in the very beginning of the movie, right?

My impression was that whenever she was dressed up in her punk rocker garb, it was the decoy (and an ambassador..ess?) and whenever she was in her commoner clothes, it was Padme.
But, I could be wrong, I didn't pay that much attention to that.

my favorite movie by far was return of the jedi. it is the most action packed of the old movies, and though the new movies are good they were not the ones that made history.
