Though this is a meant to be a tad humorous, and at this point I'm not going to provide much justification for the items on this list, in my own spiritual/ intellectual journey I really found that when it came to accepting Christianity as true, some things were much more important than others and some things really ended up being secondary issues.
So, here goes:
Things to temporarily set aside when trying to decide if Christianity is true:
1. What it's going to cost you (you can't say it's not true simply because it demands things of you- lifestyle changes, particularly)
2. Your experience with Christian 'hypocrites' or bad Churches
3. The salvation of people who haven't heard the Gospel (first decide whether the gospel is true, then tackle that question)
4. Evolution (as you can see on this Forum there are a plethora of Christian views of the subject, ranging from full rejection to full acceptance of Evolution. You can work on that subject later)
5. The idea that if the Bible seems to contain any type of error, it must all be false (you can tackle the question of inspiration/ inerrency later, all that's important at first is if the main claims of Scripture are warranted)
