I'll tread carefully here.
I (personally) don't like how often I hear 'end of the world' themes associated with Christians in the popular media. This is partly due to the success of books like Left Behind as well as the fact that certain voices from the evangelical world get more attention than others (usually the most outlandish ones).
Because, in general, I think reading the book of Revelation into the current news headlines is misguided, it makes me (personally
) cringe ( 
) a bit everytime I hear some Anderson Cooper-type dude talking about how Christians are expecting the Tribulation any day now...
I dunno, I think it makes Christians look a bit gullible and short-sighted.
