You know, I've heard people complain about movies on the life of Jesus that Jesus is just inherently a boring character because he's 'perfect'.
These ideas gain gravity because it's true that Jesus has rarely been portrayed in a movie as more than a talking head. Still, nothing could be further from the truth. I would actually argue that Jesus is the most interesting kind of character precisely because he's sinless but voluntarily finite (in many ways at least).
The descriptors we all threw out point out the paradox of Jesus- the complexity of this character who casts his shadow over all literature since the Bible (and, arguably, casts his shadow even backward on all literature before).
