Let's see, I think we have 4 current contributors who attended PC now: Kirby, rbbailey, Lady J and I (and also bfriesen and robcantrell though they haven't posted for a while).
Am I forgetting anyone?
Anyway, how about a favorite PC memory?

Hey there- Lady J is Jenessa Morris (maiden name). Remember me? I went to P.C. from 5th-8th. Kirby--were you in Mrs. Sweet's class with the little Pomeranian "Babe" that ran around under our desks? In Jr. Hi., my favorite teachers were Ms. Martin and Mr. Bailey. I liked walking into Mr. Bailey's classroom because it always smelled like freshly brewed coffee. (That's not the only reason-- he was good teacher, too )

JENESSA MORRIS!!!! no way! Hi! How are you? Wow. blast from the past!
I was not in Mrs. Sweet's class, I came to PC in 6th grade...although I heard many fond memories of Mrs. Sweet.
Ms. Martin was awesome. All of us boys had HUUUGE crushes on her. rbbailey (on this board) is Mr. Bailey's son (if you didn't know).
Remember Mr. Forrest? 8th grade Bible? (he hated to be called by his first name Bruce, which we of course relentlessly called him) One of my memories that involves you, Lady J, was how he would call roll: He would have clever little nicknames for us that were take offs of our real name-- Kirby Gleason Street Fred Meyers, Heidi Benedict Arnold, or yours, Jenessa Morris the Cat!

Kirby, yeah, I do remember the computer class. And I'll never forget sitting beside Asa one day and we were just talking about something random when an aide was handing out papers she stopped and looked at her papers, looked up at Asa, got this real strange look on her face... Asa stopped talking to me and looked up at her because I think he knew what was coming... she looks at him looks at the paper, then says, "Are you... Ass-uh?"
Yeah, Mr. Bailey was my dad. He taught there for one year while I was in the 7th grade, he was waiting for his position to open up at Multnomah, then he went over there the next year.
I bet Josh would remember this one line from one of our classes. I'll see if he gets the class and the teacher: "This... this.... THIS IS TO!! AND THIS.... THIS IS FORTH!!!!"

I was in Mr. Akiyama's class his first day as a new teacher. All the Jason's (Delamarter, McReynolds, McKenney, Stai, and Overstreet) figured out they were in the same class together so they decided to pull a good natured practical joke on him. They all sat together in the back of the class and when Mr. Akiyama called on "Jason" to answer a question they all answered at the same time. It was so funny seeing the confused look on his face!

Doesn't totally ring a bell but I'm going to guess Mr. Lowe? Refresh my memory.

I went to the PC football game last night (53-13 loss to Roosevelt) and saw and talked to Mr. Akiyama! In 8th grade he had just had his first child, now his fourth is in HS.
The Jasons were constantly doing stuff like that, and probably still would! I am still close with Stai, and am in facebook contact with McReynolds, McKenney, and Overstreet.

Mr. Robinson, when he threw the Bible to the back of the room, ran back to get it, then picked it up and threw it up to the front. Made a bunch of girls cry.
McKenney and Overstreet are doing well with Rescue these days.
I happened to be running through PC yesterday and noticed them getting ready for the game. Haven't run that spot for a LONG time.

Totally remember the throwing (loved it). But I don't remember him saying that. Wasn't it to point out that the word of God is living and active and not just words on a page?

That's what he said after, as in, "What? You're offended by me throwing a book?" But I believe it was a verse from... Genesis about the evil people going to and fro about the earth, or something along those lines. One of the... er... less-thinking sophomores raised... er... her hand and said, "What's fro mean?" Something like that.
We were a class on the edge, we had a reputation.
Some fun memories for me were when we would all go out to Pendleton for the State competitions. Choir tours were fun.
