I want to share with you all a picture that for some reason has become one of my all time favorites. It was especially meaningful to me during my illness. This picture of Justus and I in the painted desert last summer speaks to me of "relational adventure". That's the best way I can summarize it:

Okay, this is fun. I have a few to share. This is from March of 2005 - the first time I stayed for extended stay at Welcome Home. This is Luz Adriana. She and I were best buds. This is from July 2002. My brother and I were at a music festival in the midwest and we sat outside at dusk and listened to a favorite band play while we shared a funnel cake and watched fireflies. One of my favorite pictures I've taken of Switchfoot. This is from probably 2002 or 2003. And last one, i promise, my mom took this summer. visiting farm camps can be frustrating and annoying (honestly), but this place is great. The people are great, and I had an AMAZING afternoon. We passed out bags of food and then oranges to the kids, and there was so much left over that we just sat around sharing oranges and laughing together. It just felt like fellowship. My mom snapped this picture.

That's a nice Switchfoot shot. What was your vantage point?

This is from 2 years ago when we went for a quick holiday to San Francisco. We all picked out special things we wanted to do. I wanted to see the house where I grew up, Dan wanted to do Haight-Ashbury (surprised?) My art major daughter's only request was to go to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA.) This has become one of my favorite pictures ever. It says a lot to me, even though I can't see her pretty little face Attachments:
