Haven't posted in a very long time, and figured this is a great way to break the ice. This is actually a song I'm still working on, but I thought I'd share the lyrics until I have something audible to share...
Be Still
I'm realizing my fear of failure and it is breaking me
Cuz I don't want to fail at beating this insecurity
But You breathe on me and ask me if I'm brave
I say I think I am... and then I'm OK
Sometimes I think I'd like to run away
But I know that I have got to stay and
Be still and wait upon the LORD
Sometimes my racing thoughts and the pounding of my heart
Steal away my breath and leave me stumbling in the dark
But I'm where I am and it's right where I should be
On this long and winding road; this incredible journey
Sometimes I falter and sometimes I am afraid
But each time I fall down, I can hear You say
Be still and wait upon the LORD
I will be exalted among the nations
I will be exalted in all the earth
The LORD Almighty is with us
Be still, and know that I am God
Be still and wait upon the LORD
"You have listened to fears, Child," said Aslan. "Come, let me breathe on you. Forget them. Are you brave again?" - from Prince Caspian, C.S. Lewis
Psalm 37:7
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Psalm 46:10-11
"Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
