I'm of the current perspective that the references to a future temple/sacrifices in Ezekiel should be taken as symbolic of the Church (we'll call this View 1)
I'm aware of at least 2 other views of how we should see the so-called 3rd Temple detailed in the end of the book of Ezekiel-
View 2: that it is to be seen as a future, earthly, rebuilt temple in physical Jerusalem, and
View 3: also the view that Ezekiel is showing the Israelites what would have been if they had followed the Mosaic covenant, a possibility that has now been superceded by the New Covenant.
I'm also aware that there are proponents of all three theories on this forum, so this could be an interesting discussion!
