just thought of you guys might like to hear jon foreman. he is the lead singer/main songwriter for Switchfoot. Starting last year he started putting out solo stuff, songs that didn't fit into the pop/rock/arena stuff that switchfoot does on a normal basis. I was extremely excited about this, mostly because when I was younger i read somewhere that jon wrote a song a day and i knew i was missing out of some of his great stuff. Jon put out four 4 eps over the last year, titled Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer, in that order, with 6 songs a piece. There are songs I admire, and there are songs I love. Over the years I've deeply connected to Switchfoot songs because it never failed to seem that the exact songs they wrote and released were the songs I was living/needing at the time. But I don't believe that I've ever listened to songs that i actually wished I had written. Until now. Jon has written songs that I wish were words and music that had come out of my own mouth. Anyway, I thought maybe someone else might enjoy, too. The songs on his myspace, I think are all from the Summer ep, which I'm still getting into. The earlier EPs are wonderful and I think you can preview those on his personal website. www.myspace.com/jonforemanwww.jonforeman.com

What are you favorite Switchfoot songs?
I'd have to say my favorites are The Shadow Proves the Sunshine and Meant to Live.
I have the two albums those are from.
I'll check out the links.

um, off the top of my head:
From Legend of Chin: Concrete Girl Life and Love and Why
New Way to Be Human: Augustine's Confession Amy's Song
Learning to Breathe: Economy of Mercy Love is the Movement Poparazzi
Beautiful Letdown: Twenty-Four Beautiful Letdown On Fire
Nothing is Sound (which is, i think, actually their weakest album): The Blues
oh! Gravity (which renewed my faith in them): American Dream Head Over Heels Let Your Love Be Strong
Sorry.. it's hard pick favorites. I Could probably almost honestly say that every single song has meant something significant to me at some point.
