...but it looks like Studio 60 has been canceled. The Black Donnelly's was going to replace it next week, but the last episode of Studio 60 had the worst ratings of the year, so they pulled the plug a week early. Apparently the remaining handful of throw-away episodes will be broadcast in the late spring or early summer, when the network needs filler.
Too bad. It wasn't a great show, but it may have developed into one. I usually enjoy Sorkin, so I'll miss it. But Rose, if you want to fill the void, start renting (or recording) old episodes of The West Wing. It was much, much more polished, and although it dealt less with relationships, it excelled at creating great characters and interesting sub-plots. I'd be surprised if you don't like it - just start at the beginning and go in order. START AT THE BEGINNING, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO RENT IT. Nothing worse than jumping in and out to ruin the endings of crucial story lines.
Let me know what you think. And tell Riley to stop calling me, I just can't hang out with her every day.

Marcus, I am so bummed...I really liked the show. Although, they really hammered us towards the end with the whole "Harriet & Matt" sub-plot. I have to agree with Josh that it was a little over the top.
I'll have to take your advice and look into renting The West Wing episodes, and I totally get your request to watch them in order...makes total sense. I really love "Danny Tripp" (can't remember his real name right now, and I'm too lazy to look it up on the internet) and would probably really enjoy his acting on that show as well. Josh and I are on Sherlock Holmes kick right now, and he bought all the episodes on DVD, so The West Wing will have to wait until we get through all of those.
And about Riley, you're the one who keeps calling to see if she can come out and play!

Calling back, you mean.
Bradley Whitford is the actor you're thinking of. He might be the best reason to watch West Wing. He's married to Jane Kayzmerickwhatsername, the mother from Malcom in the Middle.

Yep, it's weird because I really liked the show at first, but then it shifted to an uber-relational theme. It's almost like Sorkin changed it in response to the threat of going off the air(?) and in the process killed it's uniqueness, thereby only hastening its demise. But what do I know?
Oh, and, I'm putting you on notice. I've warned Riley to stay away from chiropractors and other second rate hacks.
