Be Still

I'm realizing my fear of failure and it is breaking me
Cuz I don't want to fail at beating this insecurity

But You breathe on me and ask me if I'm brave
I say, I think I am... and then I'm OK
Sometimes I think I'd like to run away
But I know that I have got to...

Be still, and wait upon the LORD
Be still

Sometimes these racing thoughts and the pounding of my heart
Steal away my breath and leave me stumbling in the dark

I am where I am, and it's where I need to be
On this journey--on this long and winding road
Sometimes I falter, sometimes I'm afraid
But each time I hear You say

Be still, and wait upon the LORD
Be still

You say,
Be still, and know that I am God

Marc, this is so my life for the last 3 months or so (and particularly the last month). What an incredibly difficult lesson. It's really an ongoing kind of death, isn't it? But it's a death leading to a rebirth. But, wow, what a trying birth.
