LOVE Proverbs. So much pithy wisdom. Here are a couple: Proverbs 6:27. "Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned?" (to me, this is like 1 Cor 6:12 - Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial...or constructive) And kinda related: Proverbs 25:16. "If you find honey, eat just enough-too much of it, and you will vomit." Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Pairs well with this one: Proverbs 13:20 "He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Proverbs 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. (in pride I struggle with this one) And as I read through them now, there is so much wisdom I hope to teach my children, and that I need to remember as I deal with them: Proverbs 20:22 Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you. Proverbs 15:1 - A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. There are obviously many more, but I gotta go put some of these into practice

Oh, I missed that we get to share our OWN proverbs too.
This is passed down from my Great-Grandmother:
"Ignore ignoramuses"
There were a couple others, but I can't think of them right now.

Proverbs 27:6
Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.
I like that in Proverbs, true friends are seen as sharpeners and truth-tellers and not only encouragers.
