www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=psalm%20113&version=47This is one of those amazing psalms where you see two attributes that so often seem opposed placed together in perfect unity. In verses 4, 5 and 6 God is describes as high above the creation seated in glory in the heavens. In 7, 8 and 9 God is raising the poor from the dust, giving the barren woman a home and children. It is such a perfect picture of the God that we serve and of the attributes that set him apart from all others. What other God is so high above all things and yet tenderly stoops so low to help the weakest and humblest of the human race. I love how this psalm starts and ends because it is the only possible response to the wonder that is our God: Praise the Lord! Praise O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the Lord. Praise the Lord!
