I have a question for you about the Episcopal church, Nathan.
How pervasive is the belief in a historical, physical resurrection of Jesus in the Episcopal church?

While there have been a number of high profile Anglican clergy who have questioned the concept of a literal, physical resurrection - 'a conjuring trick with old bones' and the like - for the majority of us, belief in the centrality of Christ's actual resurrection and ascension remain absolutely central. The traditional confession "Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again" resounds from our churches every Easter (and at other times), and while it would be impossible to say exactly how every individual interprets that statement, it is an unavoidable part of the church's belief and doctrine.
