OK, so if it's our cat, why do you suppose that for years he's been bringing whole (or mostly whole) animals to our doors and now he's on this kick where he brings gall bladders by the bucketful? So many possible replies, so little time... Josh: Perhaps your cat has decided to take more control over his health and has become more selective about consumption? Following a vegan or macrobiotic diet, perhaps, that eschews the eating of innards? Mo: I feel your pain. I did the EXACT same thing last night with a rotary cutter. Do you know what that is? It looks like a smallish pizza wheel and is used for cutting fabric. Like you, I saw where it dropped last night. Today? Gone. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Needless to say, I suspect Josh's cat. Michelle: Ixnay on the cat-bashing, sister!! Coles': Ever thought of taking the precious little packages to your vet for input? Is there a tree above you? Could it have anything to do with baby birds? Gross, I know, but if I'm right I want a Peet's Coffee Card ;D

So, some group dissection didn't do a whole lot to solve the mystery. Some say larvae, some stomache, some liver, some placenta.

You seriously need to borrow a trail cam.

This has got to be the most disgusting discussion we have had yet. I must say that there is some part of me that really misses not being able to see the "specimens" for myself. To bad.

Bring it to the family get-together this weekend, Marcus! I'd give it a try.

I took a sample to our family get-together tonight and all were somewhat baffled... although the two doctors there were pretty sure it's an organ (or two attached)

OK, on a hunch based on what my uncle Ron said about it possibly being intenstines, I searched for bird intestines and found this picture, which looks remarkably like them:
What say you? It's that same odd shrimp-like shape. I think we have a winner!
(the pic was too big, so skip forward a few posts to see a smaller version)
