I was just wondering how many people would be interested in learning more about and discussing Kabbalah. It is Jewish Mysticim (although not all would agree with that statement) and very very interesting to me. I think I am well versed enough to teach the basics and answer questions.
if the results are positive ones than I will start a lesson thread on it as well as an "ask questions" thread. (trust me, two threads will be needed)

So, I am definitely interested. And I'll start off with my bias: I have a lot of philosophical, exegetical, and theological concerns with the whole Kabbalistic approach. So I'd like to discuss those and clear up any misunderstandings/ refine my position on the subject.
A couple years ago I taught at Church a bit about "popular kabbalah" (such as that practiced by many modern celebrities) which I know is a lot different than the more authentic, historical version.

Why did you teach your church pop culture kabbalah? from Berg? or Laitman?
