Josh said: Quote: It sounded like you were downplaying the role of repentance, the idea of holiness, and the necessity of one believer to admonish another believer. I thought Scripture made the point I was trying to communicate better than I could.
How long have you been with me? Porque estas tratando de matar me?
Don't worry, I will keep you informed as this progresses. What happened as I was just finishing that last post, was the plug for the cervix came out. This means that we now have in all probability less than 48 hours until the birth contractions hit.
Thank you guys for the well wishing! I will post photos just as soon as we get home from the hospital.

Lemme splain... no lemme sum up. 1) Most folks online here don't know you so well, so I'd hate for them to not have a holistic understanding of the intricacies of Steve Kunselman 2) You know I've always felt it was my duty to react to hyperbole with a "yes... but". It's just in my nature. How long have you known me? REgarding little Joel (or whatever else you currently want to name him) Wow. Exciting. I didn't really know you were serious about it being right at the doorstep so to speak!

what is the predominate attitude in Germany to how much pastors, priests, and other clergy can and should drink? In addition to what Steve already contributed to this specific question I'd like to mention, that beer in Germany is historically connected to the clergy. The introduction of regulated brewing started out in monastic breweries and even today some of the best known beer-companies within Germany can be traced back to their monkish origins (or even display their monkish origin in their name and on their label - as a seal of quality).

i have read this quote before; i think it describes christianity today very well. it gives something for authentic christians to counter, because now it is the overpowering truth.

That quote contains a warning which I think is important for the church to hear- namely, the warning that we not lose sight of the primal, family orientation of the kingdom of God. However, one could argue that in some ways Christianity was meant to be all those other things (in varying degrees) as well.
