Lord, Do you hear me? Whining about this world, How can I bear it?
I had to title this Haiku 1 because once I start Haiku-ing ( is that a word?) it is hard to stop. In my classroom we do Sports-ku and I like to write Mama-kus.
"Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. -Ephesians 6:14-16
I love that with Haiku you can make a poem out of one solitary thought and not feel pressured to pack a ton of different ideas in. Sometimes too many idea crowd out the clarity of just one important sentiment.
I think you've captured the "groaning of the creation" that Paul talks about.
You’ve got your methods
I’m done with trying to guess all your moves
I’m going where you want me to go
I’ve got nothing left to lose
Now I don’t wanna suffer
But that’s in fact the nature of the beast
If you want to get to higher ground
You got to get there on your knees
