I know this is kind of gross, but I had to laugh out loud when I read this: You shall have a place outside the camp, and you shall go out to it. And you shall have a trowel with your tools, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it and turn back and cover up your excrement. Deuteronomy 23:12-13 Something to think about on camping trips.

So, you remember how Douglas and I were in some disagreement about how many Israelites there were in the wilderness (him several hundred thousand, me, less than 100,000- something like that, I kinda forget now)? Well, here's a situation (appropriate ways to get your business taken care of) where the numbers would make quite a bit of difference on the ground, so to speak. I just wonder if the folks who think there was 2 million Israelites have ever stopped to think of the fecal ramnifications of that interpretation. Sorry. Had to go there. Oops I did it again. Someone give me a shovel.

That's why I like camping with toilets, running water, showers, etc.
No trowels please...
Yuck!
