11/05:
I get more and more pleasantly overwhelmed as I read Romans more. A couple of parts of verses that really speak to me are: V. 6 - "the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace." I think this is a great expression of the power of the Spirit.
V. 15 & 17 - "For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received a Spirit of sonship" & "we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ." A Spirit of sonship and CO-HEIRS with Christ...WOW!! What an unbelievable gift.
V. 26 - "the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." I think at times the Spirit has a way of transforming our prayers from being self-serving to God-serving.

I love Romans 8, it is the sort of chapter you go to when you are feeling overwhelmed and defeated by life. I always feel so pumped full of truth by the time I get to the end and the "nothing separates us from the love of God portion"

Romans 8 Contains my favorite passage in all of Scripture. The last few verses of Romans 8 have given me tremendous comfort as a have confronted the substantial health issues that I have had this year. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
