Anyone have any questions about the new forum format? There are a lot of new features. Right off the bat you might appreciate the addition of a facebook-similar "like" button on threads

Well I wasn't extremely fluent in the old format, but how do you search? I know there was a recent thread on Proverbs, but I can't find it now. Also is there a link to click to see all the most recent posts?

Also is there a link to click to see all the most recent posts? The Search tab is at the top. Try it out, let me know if you have questions. There's a link at the bottom of the home page for recent posts in general and each sub-forum has it's own most recent post linked to the right of it on the homepage. Also, you can click on other members and see their latest posts.

Is there any way to set a preference or setting default to automatically get notifications when threads I have posted in get replies? I thiiink that if I bookmark a discussion I will get an email, but I'm not even completely positive about that.

There are a LOT more options in regard to this.
To find them, click on your "Profile" at the top, then click the "Edit Profile" button off to the right. Then click on "Notifications" and you can adjust when you want to receive an in-forums notification or email notifications or both.
Also, in addition to bookmarking threads you're particularly interested in, you can "follow" particular posters.

A couple more observations:
If you click on a thread and want to reply, there is a basic "quick reply" box, but if you want word processing and link buttons, etc., just click on the brown "Reply" button to the right for that.
I got rid of "quick reply", so just click on the "reply" button at the bottom of a thread to add a post.
Also, if you click on the "recent posts/ threads" button at the bottom of the main page and you want to reply to a post you see there, you have to click on the post title and then you can reply to the thread it's on.

Another thing:
If you hover over the small text "Aletheia Discussion Forums" in the upper left hand side of the main page, it will show you a branch of all the sub-forums and will indicate which ones have new posts.
