Since we have a great precedent at Aletheia for finding parallels between Old Testament stories and the life of Christ- let's see how many parallels we can find in Ruth 3-4 before my teaching next Sunday Anyone who participates will get to be part of a special drawing! (no, it's not for a free IPod....)

Here's a hint of where I'm going.
If in the book of Ruth, Naomi can symbolically represent the Jews, Ruth the Gentiles, and Boaz Jesus, then who might the unnamed "next of kin" in 4:1 (whom the Hebrew text literally calls "so-and-so" or "such-a-one") represent?
Also, when Ruth goes to the "threshing floor", willing to take on possible scandal for the sake of her faith, who is she like elsewhere in the Bible? I can think of at least 3 other people.
