Krhagan,
Some of your posts have me thinking about something.
It seems that you hold much of the Bible to be mythological but not strictly historical. Yet, I presume, you believe the resurrection to be a historical fact? Is that correct?

Yes, I believe in the supernatural resurrection of Christ, his triumph over Satan after he was sent to hell and salvation of believers. It is much of the old testament that strikes me as figurative. As would the last book of the new testament. I do not imagine that many actual, cups, chalices, bowls etc full of wrath, hatred, judgement, and other rightious things distilled into some kind of Magic God liquid that can be poured.

And why do you believe the resurrection actually occurred?

Because it is not fundementally a conlflict witht he concept of God as I see him on the overall scope of the Bible and it is backed by historical accounts.

Let's stay on track.
you wrote to Mo:
I'd like to point out that I do believe that Christianity stands or falls on the resurrection. It is the bare minimum fact of our faith. I think apologetics needs to affirm to the skeptic that their questions about a host of other things (even huge chunks of Scripture as you say here) are secondary to the question of whether Jesus Christ truly did die for our sins and rise from the grave.

Josh, What it needs to do, and what it "can do" based on the facts and evidence present are two entirely separate things.

Getting back on track here, so, kevin, which historical documents do you think support the historicity of the resurrection?
