I had an instance a few years ago while commuting that thankfully came to nothing in the end. I was driving the Hwy 26 corridor and off to my right I passed a clown driving a Geo Metro. I was overwhelmed at that moment that I was about to face my end in a horrific and complicated accident. Somehow deep inside I knew with my last breath and the light fading, I would look up into the washed out sky. A large head of tussled orange hair and a big red ball of a nose would appear over me and in a deep voice cut through my failing senses; "Hey man, you ok?" it would say in an inquisitive voice. Then darkness.

Seriously, can you say anything about clowns these days without several people piping up: "They scare me!!!" (My husband and son are in the front of that line, btw. ) Clowns don't scare me, per se, but I've never trusted them, and never got why people thought they were funny...
