I found this story on Joel Rosenberg's blog. Apparently the Christians in Iraq, Kurdish region, have received a license from the Iraqi government to operate a Christian radio station that broadcast bible programs, and dramas. The signal will reach close to 2 million Iraqis. This is good new for Christians in an area of the world where it seemed that Christianity had taken a couple steps back. flashtrafficblog.wordpress.com/

That's encouraging. Makes me what to find out more about what's going on with the Kurds these days.

Inspite of the all the techological advancements we've seen in video, it is amazing that radio is still the communication medium of choice for the world. We have a dear friend who spent many years as a missionary to a muslim country and he was always telling us what great inroads they had made with life-long muslims who would catch a piece of their radio programs and then start dialoguing with his organization via letters and e-mail.

I still love my radio and am glad to hear that the Kurds will now have acess to a christian radio station. The workd does still love there radios and many people in LED countries are more likely to use there radio than their TV. I would class Iraq as an LED countrie.
