Earlier, I was sharing some Sarah Groves lyrics and a poem came to me. Here it is:
I Trust by Tara Romero
Excited, but so scared, You didn’t like what you saw there. I was a vessel on a shelf, And you molded me yourself.
But I trust,
In your hands, I feel you there, Breaking down the form I bear. I like that you are close, But my past I miss the most,
But I trust,
What was that you saw? Broken, my soul was raw. It’s time for something new, To create a form that’s true.
And I trust,
It hurts deep when you push on me I have no choice but, let it be, My insides aren’t the same, But I am called by the same name.
And I trust,
Do I yearn to be back up there, Where you see me and only stare? But then I’d be alone, Don’t let me be alone.
I trust.

Tara, that brought tears to my eyes. That is really beautiful. I can really hear your faith in the Lord coming out in that poem. Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt poem with us.

Thanks for sharing this. The imagery is very visceral, having done a bit o' pottery in college. This is a very "felt" poem.
