12 Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers righteousness on you.
I think this is a beautiful maintaining of the tension between our responsibility and God's own work. It reminds me a lot of:
Philippians 2:12-13
12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
It's always dangerous when we either a) stop striving toward holiness or b) fail to recognize that we cannot be righteous on our own.

That is one of my favorite verses in all of scripture, I had it taped to my bathroom mirror for a long time!

Did it slip off the mirror when the showers of righteousness came? That didn't have anything to do with the flooding from your neighbors in your previous apartment did it? ;D Yeah, it's a good verse. I feel like I'm in a waiting place right now in my journey/ breaking up ground, etc... The promise of a real shower sounds delightful.
