"After he said this, his Spirit took control of me and lifted me to my feet." Ezekiel 2:2a (CEV)
I've had a very similar experience to what Ezekiel is talking about. On the day that I was baptized, I was praying about whether or not I should get baptized. I had only committed to going to this church the week before, but I knew there was going to be an alter call at the end of the service. The entire week after the first time I went to this particular church, I thought and prayed about whether or not I should get baptized. I was of the frame of mind that I didn't know enough or wasn't Christian enough to be baptized. So at the end of the service, we all stood up to sing, and I prayed and told God that if He wanted me to be baptized, He was going to have to move me because I knew I couldn't move on my own. Next thing I know, I'm halfway up to the front of the church and have no idea how I got there because I did not make a conscious decision to go up there. That is the first time I've felt God move me and he literally moved me.
And I will never forget that I was standing next to Leonard Reed, this sweet older man who had just re-married and talked about how much he loved his bride. He was so adorable and he gave me the biggest hug afterwards.
