Hosea 4:14
"I will not punish your daughters when they turn to prostitution, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery, because the men themselves consort with harlots and sacrifice with shrine prostitutes— a people without understanding will come to ruin!
I like this verse. It goes against the grain of gender hypocrisy when it comes to sex that is all too frequent in traditional cultures around the world (ie, all the emphasis is on purity for the women but the men can sleep around all they want, etc..)
However, this is an interesting verse if we take it super literally (the women not being punished). It would also seem to support some idea of a leadership or higher responsibility for men.
But, this might make sense in the area of prosititution. Women don't usually resort to prostitution for the pleasure of it- it's usually economically driven and most prostitutes have had a pretty awful family life before turning to the profession (at least in modern culture)*
It's their clientele that perhaps do deserve the greater judgment.
* this is my perspective... feel free and disagree!

You know, I think that's the only place in the Bible that I've seen the same criticism for the promescuity of men as women.
