We all can't understand how Hindus could ever believe the flapdoodle they happen to believe in. Why believe in Christanity? Because it's less flapdoodlish?? NO!
To which I responded:
Apparently we don't share the same view of Hinduism. I disagree with a lot of it- I agree with some of it- I think some ideas generated under the heading of Hinduism have been horrible and some of them sublime, but I don't really think of most of it as "crazy" or "flapdoodlish". Mo then cited:
Hindus don’t take measures against invasions of wild apes, because they think those apes are soldiers in the army of Ape-God Hanuman. They are afraid Hanuman could become cross. If that isn’t flapdoodle…
Mo, btw, that's a great term "flapdoodle". Is that a German original or a Mo original?
I want to comment on this at some point (maybe when other threads die down, so I'm sticking this here for now. Anyone else in the meantime have thoughts on this?

Mo, btw, that's a great term "flapdoodle". Is that a German original or a Mo original? Neither, I found it on the internet ;D Listen, I'm not going into a detailed conversation about Hinduism. I know very little about it. And I'm sure what you said about Hindiusm ("I disagree with a lot of it- I agree with some of it- I think some ideas generated under the heading of Hinduism have been horrible and some of them sublime") is fair. Maybe I'm unjust to pick out absurdities out of the context, but common: what normal person from outside the Hindu sphere would ever believe in Ape-God Hanuman? You might just as well believe in the Flying Spaghetti monster!
