Just thought I'd start a record of super lame quotes coming from the worst excesses of the so-called "prosperity doctrine" in an attempt to show the dark side of trying to establish an automatic link between Christian commitment and physical/financial success. If you have comments or new quotes to add, please join in:
“The Bible says that [Jesus] left us an example that we should follow in His steps. That’s the reason I drive a Rolls Royce” --Frederick K.C. Price
“Keep saying it—‘I have equality with God’—talk yourself into it” -– Creflo Dollar
“The moment you speak something out, you give birth to it. This is a spiritual principle, and it works whether what you are saying is good or bad, positive or negative” –- Joel Osteen
“John 1:38 says that Jesus turned to those who were following and said, ‘come with me,’ and they said, ‘where dwellest thou?’ He said, ‘come and see,’ and Jesus took the crowd home with him to stay in His house. That meant it was a big house” -- John Hagee
“Jesus had a seamless robe so valuable that Roman soldiers gambled for it at the cross. It was a designer robe” -– John Hagee
